Recommendations for presentations:

Paper Sessions

There are two types of presentations: (1) 45 minutes and (2) 15 minutes. Even though the time slots for each presentation within corresponding sessions are 50 and 20 minutes we encourage you to leave at least 5 minutes for questions.

Portable computer and projector will be available for presenters during paper sessions with MS Office 2003.

Symposia

A symposium is scheduled to last 1 hour 50 minutes. Conveners decide on symposium's structure and the number of presenters. Portable computer and projector will be available for presenters during symposia sessions with MS Office 2003.

Poster Sessions

Poster dimensions - the maximum poster size should not exceed 1 m wide x 2.50 m high (a portrait-formatted poster).

Posters will be mounted and displayed during scheduled sessions in Hall. It is imperative that each presenter observe the scheduled time for mounting and removal of poster materials. You will receive material to mount your poster from the registration counter. Note that projection equipment and electrical outlets are not available in the poster session.

The presenting author should be at the poster wall during the formal session.

Idea Exchange Sessions

Participant idea exchange session is a set of concurrent round table discussions led by the participants who proposed the topic. The leader begins the session with a short presentation that is followed by a group discussion. Recommended format: 15 minute introduction+30 minute discussion.

Portable computer and projector will be NOT available for presenters during PIE sessions and they are NOT recommended to use. Please, bring a set of handouts for distribution.
